    Final Four Preview

Published on Wednesday, March 30, 2011

lj-smithOn Saturday April 2, 2011 the NCAA March Madness betting tournament will once again be the talk of the town, as two of the final three games take place. In the early matchup, fans betting on March Madness have the opportunity to wager on which Cinderella team they believe will advance to the finals, as Butler takes on VCU. Then in the evening is a heavyweight matchup featuring the Kentucky Wildcats and the Connecticut Huskies. Here is a look at the Final Four round of the 2011 tournament.

The Kentucky Wildcats are led by freshman phenom Brandon Knight, while their opponents the Connecticut Huskies are led by junior combo forward guard Kemba Walker. Going into the tournament, both of these players were considered by many fans and experts alike as two players that we should all keep our eyes on, as they elevated their games to the next level. To say both have done that and then some would be putting it lightly. Throughout the tournament, Brandon Knight and Kemba Walker have shown why each will be lottery picks in the first round of this year’s NBA draft. Essentially, when you put the ball in their hands, everything seems okay, and your team has a great chance of winning.

Conversely, the Butler Bulldogs are led by Sheldon Mack and the VCU Rams are led by Jamie Skeen. To say nobody had any idea who these two guys were prior to the tournament would be a gross understatement. Now with both players within two games of hoisting a National Title above their heads, many people are saying that Mack and Skeen are poor man’s versions of Knight and Walker.

Going into Saturday’s action, we are pulling for Jamie Skeen and the VCU Rams to upset Butler, after defeating our March Madness pool champion the Kansas Jayhawks. On the other side of the coin, we are also big fans of the Big East and thus hope that the Connecticut Huskies and Kemba Walker are able to defeat the Kentucky Wildcats despite Kentucky defeating Ohio State and North Carolina.
